PHILADELPHIA -- Black & Brown Founders is proud to announce ThePLUG, the first daily tech newsletter covering founders and innovators of color, as its official Media Partner for Project NorthStar.  Project NorthStar is a 3-day tech conference, presented in partnership with the City of Philadelphia, focused on providing connections, education and opportunities to hundreds of current or aspiring entrepreneurs and knowledge workers from the Black and Latinx community who want to build a tech company or launch a career in tech.  The conference will take place October 3-5, 2018 in Philadelphia at 2300 Arena.

“ThePLUG has been at the forefront of telling the stories of tech’s evolution specifically for innovators of color,” said Aniyia Williams, Executive Director of Black & Brown Founders. “This partnership was a natural fit. ThePLUG plays a vital role in enabling us to further engage with founders of color, but more importantly allows us to provide the tools, resources and pipeline to create and grow wealth.”

As part of the partnership, ThePLUG will help to bring awareness and attention to underserved and under-covered entrepreneurs and their companies as well as expanding the depth of diverse and inclusive entrepreneurship, startup environments, and technological progress.

“We’re excited to embark on this partnership to cover the Project NorthStar conference,” said Sherrell Dorsey, Founder and CEO of ThePLUG. “We greatly value the work of Black & Brown Founders and will leverage this conference to discover new and interesting stories and trends to share with our readers and across our respective networks.”
